About This Album
Pop that emerges from the creative hubs of the Philippines carries a distinct connection to the communities that shape its creation, a thread that runs through every layer of Train Reflection, a full-length album that anchors itself in the broad, accessible framework of global pop while rooted firmly in the context of its origin. As a body of work crafted for the catalogue that positions pop recordings from Southeast Asia alongside their international contemporaries, Train Reflection fits seamlessly within the pop genre’s evolving landscape, while bringing the specific perspective of its creators’ home country to the fore, with no extraneous flourishes or unnecessary deviations from the core identity that defines both its genre and its origin.
