About This Album
Ben&Ben, the credited creative force behind the album Lifetime (Reimagined), crafts their work from their home base in the Philippines, with the project falling into the expansive, flexible categorization of Music/Other/Other, a space that frees the group from the narrow confines of rigid, genre-specific labels that often pressure artists to create work that fits pre-determined commercial or cultural molds. For artists working across every creative landscape, but particularly those rooted in regions with rich, layered cultural histories like the Philippines, the ability to place work outside of narrow genre boundaries is transformative, as it allows creators to pull from the full spectrum of influences that shape their art without having to trim or alter their vision to align with what audiences or industry gatekeepers expect from a specific sound or scene.
