About This Album
The first collaborative sessions that would form the backbone of the album Khalid began with two core early pairs, first Marshmello joining forces with the project’s central creative, followed shortly by oskar med k stepping in to build out a second set of tracks centered on the same throughline that unites the full record. As work on the album progressed, standalone tracks crafted solely by the lead creative were added to the tracklist, balancing the collaborative energy that defines most of the project with unaccompanied work that highlights the core vision that ties every selection together. Rooted in Filipino creative circles, the album is categorized under Music/Other, a classification that intentionally rejects rigid genre boundaries to make space for the wide range of approaches each contributor brings to their respective tracks, a range that becomes clear as the roster of collaborators expands through every stage of the album’s development.
