Music/Other, a classification that intentionally steps back from the rigid genre silos that often structure how audiences and industries engage with recorded sound, frames nobody (make me feel), the collaborative output of oskar med k and Khalid, two creators based in the Philippines who have built their work around the freedom that this unconstrained category affords. Unlike more narrowly defined genre labels that carry a set of shared assumptions about sonic structure, influence, and audience, Music/Other exists to hold work that defies easy categorization, work that refuses to be boxed into the expectations of pop, rock, hip-hop, folk, or any other pre-existing framework that would limit what a creator can explore in their practice.
