The album *Gat Putch* presents a collection of "Other" music from the Philippines by Gat Putch, the hip-hop rapper and leader of the group "Yellin Speech." Born Dan Wilkins Diaz, Gat Putch began his music career in 2013 as a DJ at a resto-bar in La Loma, Philippines, and started writing his own songs and creating music with his group members months later. Though he did not receive formal schooling for music production, his work spans Trap, Trap soul, RnB, and Hiphop. In 2019, Gat Putch and his group released the song “Berdeng Pag-iisip,” which earned him the title “Chorus of the year” and led to further opportunities in the hip-hop industry. Gat Putch has collaborated with various artists, including Malaysian artist Awie on the rock song "Sakote," which blends hip hop and rock. Other collaborators include ZJAY, Mhot, and Ron Henley on "Ganyan Talaga," and Awie, Lexus, and Yuridope on "Itinakda.
