About This Album

Nadin Amizah's debut studio album, *Selamat Ulang Tahun*, released on her twentieth birthday, May 28, 2020, features the Indonesian singer-songwriter's characteristic soulful and catchy melodies. The album, which was recorded with a bedroom recording concept, showcases Amizah's dense, poetic lyricism, exploring themes of love, sorrow, and self-discovery. This approach to songwriting is influenced by artists like Birdy. *Selamat Ulang Tahun* earned nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Album at the 2020 Anugerah Musik Indonesia. One of its tracks, "Bertaut," received the Best Folk/Country/Ballad Production award at the AMI Awards. The album also includes the song "Mendarah," released in 2020, which features lyrics that use metaphors and evocative language to convey intense emotions related to vulnerability, the pain of letting go, heartbreak, resilience, and healing. Zulqi L Ramadhana is credited as a composer for "Mendarah," with Rifan Kalbuadi as producer and engineer.
