Born La Ode Raimudin in Wakatobi, a region in Indonesia’s Southeast Sulawesi, on April 28, 1994, Raim Laode built a multi-faceted creative career rooted in the stories that shape his home and his own life, a throughline that would define his work across comedy, acting, and music long before he would introduce the world to the pop album Komang. He graduated from Halu Oleo Kendari University with a major in History Education, a foundation that deepened his innate knack for weaving personal and collective narrative into every project he took on, aligning with the core identity he would later claim for himself: primarily a storyteller. His first public foray into entertainment came in 2014, when he joined the Stand Up Indo community in Kendari, launching a career as a comedian that would quickly expand to national screens across Indonesia.
