About this Song
Widely hailed as his breakout creative and commercial success, Komang, the Indonesian pop track that cemented Raim Laode’s dual standing as a versatile on-screen and musical storyteller, has earned over 600 million streams on Spotify alone, after going viral across global social media platforms like TikTok following its August 16, 2022 release. The sixth official track of his music career, Komang is far more than a pop hit: it is a layered, deeply personal tribute that centers his wife, Komang Ade Widiasari, while also extending to honor his mother, turning a private love letter into a universally resonant work that connected with audiences far beyond his existing fanbase of comedy and film followers. Raim has long described himself as primarily a storyteller, a core identity that ties together every thread of his varied creative career, which spans stand-up comedy, acting, music, and community advocacy.
