The Indonesian album *Adrian Khalif* presents a collection of work from Adrian Khalif, an Indonesian singer and rapper whose musicality is shaped by the hip-hop and R&B scene of New York. Born on June 24, 1992, Khalif was raised in a diplomatic family, living in various cities such as Geneva, Canberra, New York, and London, which broadened his musical interests. He spent his teenage years in New York City, where he developed an interest in hip-hop and cites Kanye West as a major influence. After graduating from the University of Indonesia in 2016, he signed with E-motion Entertainment and released his debut single "Made in Jakarta," featuring Dipha Barus, in 2017. This single won the Best Hip Hop category at the AMI Awards in 2017 and accumulated over 1.5 million streams. Adrian Khalif emerged in Indonesia's independent R&B scene in 2018, with his music combining contemporary R&B production with bilingual lyrics, reflecting the urban youth of Jakarta who grew up with global streaming culture.
