Hawak Mo Ang Beat (DJ Choijay Remix)

About this Song

Dj Mogo, the Filipino creative behind the live DJ sound Hawak Mo Ang Beat (DJ Choijay Remix), works within a rich, longstanding tradition of DJ culture in the Philippines, where live DJ craft is far more than a technical performance—it is a central pillar of community gathering, collective joy, and sonic storytelling that binds audiences across diverse neighborhoods, regions, and generations. Classified within the Music/DJ Live genre, the work aligns with a core ethos of the category, which prioritizes the spontaneous, in-the-moment manipulation and curation of sound that defines a live DJ set, rather than the polished, fixed structure of pre-produced studio recordings created for isolated, individual playback.
