Daryl Jake Borja Ruiz, born February 16, 1996, who records professionally under the names Skusta Clee and Skusta Clee TV, has established himself as a defining force in Filipino contemporary music, with a career that spans performance, production, songwriting, and even on-screen acting. A core member of the Filipino hip-hop collective Ex Battalion, he also founded and serves as vocalist for the hip-hop group O.C. Dawgs, which he launched in 2012, giving him two distinct creative spaces to shape the sound of the nation’s urban music landscape. Widely recognized as a pioneer of the Pinoy trap genre, he played an instrumental role in bringing trap music to mainstream audiences across the Philippines, redefining what local hip-hop could sound like by merging the core pillars of traditional rap with unexpected, genre-bending flourishes pulled from rock, pop, and electronic music.
