Helarius Daru Indrajaya, known as Ndarboy Genk, is an Indonesian singer-songwriter from Yogyakarta, often mistaken for a band despite being a solo artist. He blends modern Pop and Asian Pop with traditional Indonesian musical elements, creating songs characterized by captivating beats, uplifting melodies, and passionate lyrics. His music videos, featuring artful cinematography and locations in Yogyakarta, are integral to his artistic expression. Before gaining fame, Ndarboy Genk sold *sego pecel* while pursuing his music career, inspired by the late Didi Kempot to become a *campursari* singer and preserve Javanese culture through his music. His success has inspired other independent artists and contributed to putting Yogyakarta on the music map, with performances at various Indonesian festivals and venues such as Pestapora, Soundrenaline, Now Playing Fest, Prambanan Jazz, and Prost Festival.
