About This Album

Universal Records Philippines has long stood as a foundational pillar of the Filipino music industry, stewarding a vast catalogue of work that spans every genre to emerge from the archipelago over the past several decades, with a sustained commitment to centering homegrown talent that might otherwise struggle to reach the full breadth of their potential audience. The label’s investment in Philippine hip-hop, in particular, has helped shape the trajectory of the genre across the country, turning what began as a small, underground movement of creators sharing work through local shows and DIY digital channels into a dominant force in mainstream Filipino music, with legions of fans across all age groups and regions.
