About This Album
The vast, flexible category of Music/Other/Other exists to hold work that resists the narrow boundaries of more established, widely codified musical genres, creating space for creators to build sound that speaks to specific local contexts, cultural traditions, and personal creative impulses that don’t fit neatly into preexisting industry frameworks that often prioritize global mainstream sounds over regionally rooted expression. This uncategorized space rejects the idea that every piece of music must be slotted into a preapproved box to find its audience, instead centering the artist’s vision above the commercial or categorical pressures that often shape how work is marketed, distributed, and consumed by broad audiences.
