About this Song
Across the archipelago of the Philippines, live DJ sets function as more than mere soundtracks to gatherings; they act as living, breathing forums where artists test new fusions, rework core tracks to speak to local crowds, and tie global rhythmic traditions to the specific energies of the spaces they play for, and Dj Mogo leans into that longstanding cultural role fully with his work on Hawak Mo Ang Beat (Merengue Version), a recording that sits firmly within the Music/DJ Live genre’s commitment to capturing the unscripted, immediate spark of a DJ’s work as it unfolds in front of an audience.
