Arthur Nery, a Filipino singer and songwriter born Arthur Madrigalejos Nery in Cagayan de Oro in 1997, crafts R&B and neo-soul music that often incorporates elements of hip-hop, jazz, and electronic music. His sound is characterized by a smooth, velvety vocal style and emotionally rich, open-hearted lyrics, drawing influences from artists such as Frank Ocean and Daniel Caesar. Nery began writing songs seriously in high school and received formal vocal training as part of a glee club in college. Before pursuing music full-time, he worked as a call center agent and an online English teacher for Japanese students. His career gained significant momentum after comedian Wacky Kiray heard him perform his original song "Life Puzzle" and introduced him to Kean Cipriano, leading to Nery's signing with O/C Records in 2019. Nery released his debut album, *Letters Never Sent*, in 2019 under Viva Records, which featured notable songs like "Higa" and "Binhi.
