As a foundational figure who shaped local Filipino creative culture while building a cross-disciplinary career spanning music and screen, the artist behind the pop album Abra balances underground origins and widespread mainstream acclaim across every space he works in. Known first by his stage name, and also creating under the moniker Makatang Hibang, he has built a resume that credits him not just as a performer, but as a record producer, songwriter, and actor, with work that extends far beyond his own solo output to include his role as a core member of rap collective Lyrically Deranged Poets, or LDP, alongside fellow artists Rjay Ty and Alex Omiunu.
