About this Song
Across Indonesia’s sprawling network of local and national sonic gatherings, live DJ sets function as more than mere recordings of performances; they capture the spontaneous, responsive energy of crowds and curators converging in real time, a lineage that this entry, Kasih Sayang, upholds as a core example of the DJ Live genre cataloged from the region. Within the catalogue’s formal classification system, the Music/DJ Live designation is reserved exclusively for sound entries that capture unedited, in-the-moment performances by working DJs, a category that separates these dynamic, event-specific recordings from studio-polished mixtapes, pre-planned commercial dance releases, or other recorded sound works that carry the mark of post-production editing.
