About this Song
Live DJ sets rooted in Indonesian creative practice carry a distinct set of cultural and performance contexts that shape every iteration of the form, from small underground club sets to large festival recordings, each capturing a unique moment of artistic execution that can never be replicated exactly. The work titled Orang Asing - Live fits within this lineage of Indonesian DJ Live output, a category of sound that centers the real-time, in-the-moment curation and manipulation of sound that defines DJ performance as a creative practice in its own right, rather than a secondary act of playback.
