About This Album
Hev Abi, the sole credited artist behind the full-length album Hev Abi, creates work rooted in the rich, ever-evolving creative landscape of the Philippines, with the project classified as Music/Other, a flexible, boundary-pushing category that accommodates creative works that resist the rigid limitations of pre-existing genre labels that often dictate how audiences engage with and contextualize recorded music. A self-titled album, which bears the same name as the artist behind it, functions as a formal anchor for an artist’s creative scope, a project that ties their core artistic persona directly to the collection of work they present to audiences, grounding that work in the identity the artist has cultivated for their creative practice.
