About this Song
Pop as a genre has long served as a vessel for creators across the globe to translate their unique lived experiences into work that resonates with audiences far beyond their local borders, and the Philippines’ rich community of pop creators has contributed some of the most compelling, nuanced entries into the global pop canon, each work carrying the mark of the cultural context that spawned it while speaking to universal throughlines that connect listeners across language, region, and background. Seesaw, as a pop sound originating in the Philippines, takes its place within this long, interconnected lineage of work that extends from the earliest days of local pop recording through to the contemporary wave of creations that reach global audiences through every available distribution channel alike.
