About this Song
"On My Shoulder" is a sound by Malcolm Todd, a singer-songwriter and record producer from Los Angeles, California, who blends indie pop, alternative R&B, bedroom pop, and R&B. Todd, who plays vocals, bass guitar, and guitar, has been noted for his warm songs, which combine a fluid alternative R&B sound with the emotional outlook of an indie singer/songwriter. He has been compared to artists such as Steve Lacy and Tyler the Creator. Todd gained initial attention on TikTok in 2023 with his viral singles "Art House" and "Roommates," the latter of which became a breakthrough hit in June 2023, leading to other singles like "Mr. Incorrect" and "4Me 4Me." Following his TikTok success, he signed with Columbia Records. His discography includes his first EP, *Demos Before Prom*, released in May 2022, and *Shower Shoes* in March 2023. He released his debut mixtape, *Sweet Boy*, in 2024, and his self-titled debut studio album, *Malcolm Todd*, on April 4, 2025, which peaked at number 49 on the Billboard 200.
