About this Song
Kyle Raphael, a singer-songwriter raised in Davao and the mind behind a string of cross-genre hits rooted in the Philippines’ vibrant contemporary pop landscape, began nurturing his musical ambitions from a young age, laying the groundwork for a career that would cement his status as one of the most prominent names in the country’s streaming ecosystem. His first major breakthrough arrived when he claimed the Grand Winner title at Himig Handog 2018, a milestone that shifted his trajectory from a promising emerging talent to a commercially and culturally viable artist, opening a cascade of professional opportunities that would elevate his work to national audiences. The 2018 win unlocked the chance to sign a combined publishing and recording deal with Viva Records, a partnership that allowed him to refine his signature sound, which draws from an expansive list of influences and styles to create work that defies narrow genre categorization.
