About this Song
For creators working within the vibrant, interconnected creative communities that span the Philippines, the process of crafting pop sound that resonates both within local cultural spheres and beyond requires a deep engagement with the lineage of pop that has emerged from the archipelago over decades, as well as a willingness to push the form in new directions that feel true to their own creative perspective. Every choice that goes into shaping a pop recording ties back to the experiences that shape the artist’s relationship to their craft, from the earliest moments of exploring their creative voice to the iterative work of refining a piece until it aligns with the vision that first sparked its creation.
