About this Song
Music/Other/Other, the flexible, boundary-defying genre classification that exists to hold creative works that resist being squeezed into the narrow, often rigid boxes of more mainstream, widely recognized music categories, creates a space for From Torillo, With Love, the work from Philippines-based creator Hev Abi that is tied to the broader creative umbrella of Urban Department. This classification does not signal a lack of craft or intentionality; rather, it honors the choice of a creator to build work that does not align with the pre-existing tropes, expectations, and markers that would slot it into a more commonly named genre, prioritizing creative autonomy over the industry standard of categorizing work to fit pre-conceived audience preferences or market silos.
