Growing up in Ibadan, Anita Ashiru always had an audience for her creativity. From running a blog she quickly turned into a business, to selling Ankara while in university, she was constantly finding new ways to express herself- and to earn from her ideas. After earning a degree in Journalism, Anita pivoted into marketing, honing her storytelling and strategy chops at two of Nigeria’s leading creative agencies, X3M Ideas and Anakle. But a chance encounter on set with acclaimed video director Dammy Twitch would spark an entirely new passion — creative direction and set design. Since then, Anita has been the hand and eye behind some of Afrobeats’ most unforgettable visuals — shaping worlds for artists like @Davido, Wizkid and @BurnaBoy , and helping translate their music into memorable imagery.
