حول هذه الأغنية
You Make Me Me Feel is rooted in the long, interconnected history of R&B creation in the Philippines, a country whose creative communities have engaged with the genre’s core forms, themes, and possibilities for decades, turning it into a staple of local musical output that resonates as deeply within domestic audiences as it does with global listenerships drawn to the distinct perspective that Filipino creators bring to the genre. As an R&B sound hailing from the archipelago, You Make Me Me Feel joins a sprawling catalog of work that expands the global footprint of R&B, moving beyond the geographic origins often tied to the genre’s mainstream history to center the creative contributions of creators working in Southeast Asia, whose engagements with R&B have redefined what the genre can be, who it can speak for, and what formal and thematic avenues it can explore.
