حول هذه الأغنية
Cigarettes After Sex crafts recorded work that rejects the kind of easy categorization that would slot it into any of the widely recognized standard genre labels that dominate global music ecosystems, a choice that makes the grouping’s output a natural fit for the open-ended framing of Music/Other, the genre assigned to the sound titled Hot, which originates from the Philippines. The choice to categorize a work under Music/Other is never an afterthought, but rather a deliberate recognition that the sound in question pushes against the boundaries that define even the most flexible of conventional genre labels, refusing to hew to the tropes, structural expectations, or shared creative signifiers that tie most recordings to their assigned genres.
