Yuridope, the Filipino rapper and hip-hop singer whose contributions have shaped the Filipino rap scene for nearly a decade, introduces Flames 2, a new work that extends the creative throughline he has built across dozens of releases, collaborative projects, and foundational group work. He first stepped into the public eye as an artist in January 2015, when he shared his first published song, “Wag Muna Remake Ft Emcee Rhenn (Ex Battalion)” to YouTube, a debut that arrived as he was an active member of the groundbreaking music collective Ex Battalion, a group that would help redefine local Filipino hip-hop for a new generation. His career’s upward trajectory only accelerated from that first upload, leading to widespread fame after he collaborated with Skusta Clee on the 2020 track “Dance with You,” a release that cemented his status as one of the most exciting voices in the region’s hip-hop space.
