حول هذه الأغنية
Canadian R&B singer Kira Huszar, known as LOONY, presents "Old Friends," a sound from the Philippines that aligns with her signature blend of pop, R&B, and soul. Hailing from Scarborough, Ontario, LOONY taught herself to sing as a child and attended rock music summer camp, later releasing her first mixtape in high school. Her musical journey continued at McGill University in Montréal, where her study of English Literature, particularly writers like James Baldwin, Toni Morrison, Virginia Woolf, and T.S. Eliot, profoundly influenced her songwriting. Critics often describe her sound as neo-soul and R&B, characterized by an intimate, emotional, and soulful voice. LOONY's debut single, "A Small Flame," and her debut EP, "Part 1," both arrived in 2018. Her sophomore EP, "JOYRiDE," released in April 2020, delved into her relationship with her old neighborhood and past experiences, anchoring its mix of neo-soul and R&B with her emotional vocals.
