The pop recording "MAD" is a collaboration between Dutch DJ, remixer, and music producer Martin Garrix and American singer, songwriter, and record producer Lauv, originating from the Philippines. This pop-dance track, released on May 27, 2025, through STMPD RCRDS, Casablanca Records, and Republic Records, was first previewed during Garrix's set at Ultra Miami, where Lauv joined him on stage. Lauv described Garrix as an inspiring DJ, producer, songwriter, and human, noting their long-standing friendship prior to their collaboration on "MAD." The song's lyrics delve into themes of love, confusion, mixed signals, and the feeling of being driven to obsession while pursuing romance. The music video for "MAD," directed by Mathias Norman, features both Garrix and Lauv in Las Vegas. Musically, "MAD" fuses pop elements with EDM textures, incorporating guitar licks and Garrix's signature synth hooks.
