حول هذه الأغنية
Lauv's breakthrough single, "I Like Me Better," blends hip-hop, R&B, and pop music. The American singer, songwriter, and record producer, born Ari Staprans Leff, released the track on May 19, 2017. He drew inspiration for "I Like Me Better" from a relationship that began two months after his move to New York City for college, reflecting on how he liked himself better with that person. Written and produced in his bedroom, it was the fastest song he had penned at the time. The track achieved international success, reaching the Top 10 in the German, Austrian, and Australian singles charts, and number 27 on the US Billboard Hot 100. "I Like Me Better" is featured on his 2018 compilation album *I Met You When I Was 18 (The Playlist)*. Lauv, whose stage name is Latvian for "lion," a nod to his mother's heritage and the Hebrew meaning of his birth name, began writing songs around age 14, often focusing on heartbreak.
