حول هذا الألبوم
Oliver Tree Nickell, born on June 29, 1993, in Santa Cruz, California, was an American singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer whose work often blended various genres such as alternative pop, alternative rock, indie pop, hip-hop, dance, and pop-punk, frequently incorporating comedic elements. His public persona, characterized by a distinctive bowl haircut, oversized sunglasses, and eccentric outfits, served as a narrative device, marking different eras of his career and introducing alter egos like Turbo, Shawney Bravo, and Cornelius Cummings. After his song "When I'm Down" went viral, Tree signed with Atlantic Records in 2017, the same year he graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. The song "Hurt," released on December 7, 2018, as the second single from his debut studio album, *Ugly Is Beautiful*, reflects on a severe scooter accident Oliver Tree experienced at age 18, during which he broke both wrists and sustained a concussion.
