American DJ and record producer Steve Aoki, born in 1977, is also an author, fashion designer, and the head of Dim Mak Records, which he founded in 1996. Dim Mak Records has released music by artists such as MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, and Bloc Party. Aoki's debut album, *Wonderland* (2012), received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, and subsequent releases like *Neon Future, Vol. 1* (2014) and *Neon Future, Vol. 3* (2018) have consistently appeared in the Top Five of the U.S. dance chart, with the first two volumes reaching number one. He has won awards such as the World Music Award for World's Best Electronic Dance Music Artist (2014) and two International Dance Music Awards (2015 & 2016). In 2012, Pollstar designated Aoki as the highest-grossing electronic dance music artist in North America from tours, and he holds the Guinness World Record as the “Most Traveled Musician in a Single Calendar Year,” earned in the same year.
