The R&B sound "Run It! (feat. Juelz Santana)" from the Philippines features Chris Brown, an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor born in Tappahannock, Virginia, on May 5, 1989. Brown signed with Jive Records in 2004 at the age of 15, and his self-titled debut album, released in 2005, included the chart-topping single "Run It!". This debut single, featuring Juelz Santana, marked Brown as the first male artist since 1995 to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Scott Storch produced "Run It!" and co-wrote it with Sean Garrett and Juelz Santana. The song was released as a single on June 30, 2005, and a remix of "Run It!" features Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri. Brown's debut album sold 154,000 copies in its first week, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200, and was certified double Platinum by the end of 2006. Early in his career, Brown's vocal and dancing abilities led to comparisons with artists like Usher and Michael Jackson.
