Released June 24, 2025, to mark Kahitna’s 39th anniversary, Titik Nadir arrives as a special collaborative recording between the beloved Indonesian pop band and vocalist Monita Tahalea, crafted to lean into the specific emotional core of the track’s narrative. Kahitna, the Bandung-based group first formed on the same June date decades earlier, in 1986, by keyboardist and eventual frontman Yovie Widianto, has spent nearly four decades building a discography defined by a signature fusion of traditional Indonesian melodies with contemporary pop beats, often weaving in elements of jazz, pop fusion, Latin, and ethnic music to create a sound that feels both rooted and timeless. Widianto, who serves as the band’s pianist as well as its primary creative force, has composed almost all of Kahitna’s songs, steering their output toward a smooth, melodious sound marked by catchy hooks and soul-stirring lyrics, most of which center on universal themes of love that have resonated with generations of listeners.
