حول هذه الأغنية
Originating in Indonesia, One Direction is an English-Irish pop boy band that formed in London in 2010. The group's original members were Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson. Each member initially auditioned as a solo artist for the British singing competition show *The X Factor* in 2010 but was later grouped to form the band. Guest judge Nicole Scherzinger and long-time judge Simon Cowell both claimed to have conceived the idea of forming the band, with unseen 2022 footage from *The X Factor* confirming Scherzinger's significant role, as Horan was chosen first, followed by Styles, Tomlinson, Payne, and Malik. Harry Styles came up with the band's name, One Direction, often abbreviated to 1D. One Direction finished third in the seventh series of *The X Factor* in 2010. After their appearance on *The X Factor*, Simon Cowell signed One Direction to a reported £2 million record deal with Syco Records, and they signed with Columbia Records in North America.
