Kris Dayanti, the Indonesian pop artist, marks the second remake single of her recent output with Ku Tak Sanggup, a track first popularized in 1998, reimagined for 2023 through a meticulous cross-continental creative process that draws on veteran talent from across the global music industry. Co-written by Dayanti and Ari Bias, with publishing held by PT. Aquarius Pustaka Musik, the new iteration of the track is re-arranged, repackaged, and presented by Dayanti alongside creative partner Erwin Gutawa, who stepped into four core roles for the project: producer, arranger, orchestrator, and principal pianist. Gutawa’s vision for the rework updates the original’s foundation with a modern sound layered with orchestral flourishes, brought to life by the Czech Symphony Orchestra, expanding the track’s sonic scope while honoring the core identity that made the 1998 original a fixture of Indonesian pop rotation.
