Music/Other as a formal category rejects the limitations of rigid genre labeling, creating space for works that resist alignment with the most common commercial and cultural classifications that shape how creative sound is circulated and experienced, and within that framework sits Bayangno Awakmu, the collaborative sound from Indonesian creators Tenxi and Jemsii. This work exists outside the boundaries that would slot it into a pre-existing lane of popular, traditional, or niche recorded sound, leaning into the flexibility that the Music/Other designation affords, allowing it to be experienced on its own terms rather than through the lens of expectations that come with more commonly assigned genre labels.
