A musical career rooted in Indonesia’s domestic music scene began in 2008, when Ifan stepped into the role of lead vocalist for Band Seventeen, taking the place of the group’s former frontman who had stepped down from the role. To join the already widely popular and established group, he had to navigate a rigorous audition and selection process, proving he could fill the shoes of a beloved vocalist for a band that had already built a massive, loyal fanbase across the country long before he joined. In the years that followed, Ifan built a multifaceted career as both a band member and independent recording artist, active as a singer and songwriter who released work both created entirely on his own and in collaboration with the group.
