Pop music from Indonesia often features a blend of traditional and contemporary sounds, a style Denny Caknan has cultivated throughout his career. Caknan's work frequently incorporates elements of Javanese music, and he is known for his ability to craft narratives within his songs. "Crito Mustahil (Mung)" is the second of twelve tracks from his album *Kalih Welasku*, a project developed over a year with collaborators Soepardi and Bayu Onyonk. The album itself is a connected series of twelve Javanese-language songs exploring the arc of a romantic relationship, from small issues escalating to an eventual, mutual letting go.
