Chris Brown, an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor born Christopher Maurice Brown in Tappahannock, Virginia, on May 5, 1989, is credited on this Kenyan recording, "No Guidance (feat. Drake)," which falls under the Other/Other/Other genre classification. Brown signed with Jive Records in 2004 at the age of 15, and his self-titled debut album followed in 2005, featuring the chart-topping single "Run It!," a track produced by Scott Storch and co-written with Sean Garrett and Juelz Santana. This debut single, released on June 30, 2005, made Brown the first male artist since 1995 to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with a remix later featuring Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri. The *Chris Brown* album sold 154,000 copies in its first week, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200, and achieved double Platinum certification by the close of 2006. Early in his career, Brown's vocal and dancing abilities drew comparisons to artists like Usher and Michael Jackson.
