About this Song
Show business, in all its unvarnished, glittering mess, frames the creative world that birthed Opalite - Skream Remix, a pop sound rooted in the creative community of the Philippines. The line that anchors the full-length project tied to this recording, “And, baby, that’s show business for you,” wraps around every choice that shapes the reimagined track, building on the creative arc that culminates in the new album The Life of a Showgirl, available now to connect the broader, earlier work of the creative team behind the sound to this specific remixed iteration. Following the chronological profile that guides this body of work, the full album The Life of a Showgirl first lays the foundational groundwork for all the reimaginings, alternate takes, and remixed versions that expand on its core themes, turning the stories that animate the record into malleable, evolving pieces that can be reworked for different contexts and audiences while retaining the core heart that made the original album resonate.
