About this Song
Filipino pop’s position within the global landscape of popular music relies on centering creators who carry the nuance of their local artistic roots while contributing to the expansive, ever-evolving language of the genre, and For You, the pop sound from Zack Tabudlo, fits firmly within that lineage of work that connects local creative perspectives to the broader international community of pop listeners and creators. The catalogue’s core approach to curating and contextualizing pop works from across the globe rejects the long-standing Western-centric bias that has dominated mainstream understandings of pop music for decades, prioritizing instead the full breadth of creators who shape the genre, no matter where they are based.
