About this Song
Rock & roll, as a genre that has evolved far beyond its mid-20th century origins to become a global creative form, has found a particularly enduring home in the Philippines, where local creators have embraced its core frameworks and reimagined them to fit their own creative needs for decades, building a robust ecosystem of rock & roll creation that continues to produce new works that fit firmly within the genre’s established boundaries while contributing to the ongoing legacy of Philippine rock as a vital, constantly evolving subset of the global rock & roll canon. Titled Your Universe, this sound emerges directly from that ecosystem, rooted in the country’s longstanding commitment to rock & roll as a valid, powerful form of creative expression that connects local creators to both their regional artistic peers and the larger global community of artists working within the same genre.
