About this Song
The phrase “forever” holds a unique, unshakable gravity in pop music, a thread that ties together countless iterations of love, loss, commitment, and longing that have shaped the genre’s core identity across every region that has embraced pop as a medium for both personal expression and collective connection. Say Forever, the pop sound rooted in the Philippines, carries that same foundational fascination with permanence and the vulnerable act of articulating a desire that outlasts the fleeting, mundane moments that make up most of daily life, anchoring itself to the long, evolving tradition of pop from the Philippines that centers emotional transparency and the kind of raw, relatable longing that can resonate across cultural and linguistic boundaries, even as it remains firmly rooted in the context that gave it form.
