About this Song
Pop creators based in the Philippines have spent decades building a dynamic, far-reaching creative ecosystem that turns out work that resonates both with local audiences across the archipelago and the millions of Filipino diaspora members spread across every corner of the globe, tying their work to core cultural touchstones while engaging with the universal, cross-border language of pop that connects fans across national and cultural lines. This ecosystem, which spans small independent creative collectives in mid-sized cities to large, established production hubs in the country’s major urban centers, nurtures a constant flow of new pop sounds that expand and redefine what Philippine pop can be, each new work adding another layer of depth and diversity to the country’s rich musical legacy.
