About this Song
SB19, the Filipino creative force responsible for the sound titled Time, creates work that exists outside the boundaries of commonly referenced mainstream music genres, reflected in its classification under Music/Other/Other, a categorization that intentionally holds space for creative output that resists narrow, prescriptive labels that often box musical work into pre-defined sonic and cultural lanes. As a creative collective rooted in the Philippines, SB19 centers their artistic practice in the flexibility of that open classification, which allows them to explore creative choices without the pressure to align with the expectations that come with more established genre categories, all of which carry their own set of unspoken rules around what a sound within that genre should or should not include.
