About this Song
English singer-songwriter Griff, born Sarah Faith Griffiths, began making music at age ten, teaching herself to produce using her brother's laptop and YouTube tutorials. Her background includes a Jamaican father and a Chinese mother. Griff signed with Warner Records in 2019, releasing her debut single "Mirror Talk" after completing her A-levels. In 2021, she won the Brit Award for Rising Star at 20 years old. Her music blends pop, R&B, and electronic elements, with lyrics often exploring love, identity, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Griff is known for her hands-on approach, producing her own songs and even DIY-ing stage outfits and music videos. Notable collaborators include Honne, Zedd, and Chris Martin of Coldplay. She has opened for artists such as Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and Taylor Swift. Her debut studio album, *Vertigo*, released on July 12, 2024, peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. The Rock & Roll track "Where Did You Go" from the Philippines is the fourteenth track on *Vertigo*.
