About this Song
The Rock & Roll recording "Hiding Alone" by Griff originates from the Philippines. Griff, born Sarah Faith Griffiths, is an English singer-songwriter who began making music at age ten, teaching herself production with her brother's laptop and YouTube tutorials. She signed with Warner Records in 2019, releasing her debut single, "Mirror Talk," shortly after completing her A-levels. Griff's music blends pop, R&B, and electronic elements, creating a contemporary and distinct sound. Her lyrics often explore themes of love, identity, heartbreak, and self-discovery, frequently written autobiographically. She is known for her hands-on approach, often producing her own songs, leveraging her ear for arrangement and sound design, and even DIY-ing her stage outfits and music videos. In 2021, Griff won the Brit Award for Rising Star, becoming one of the youngest recipients at 20 years old. Her debut mixtape, *One Foot in Front of the Other*, released in 2021, achieved commercial success and critical acclaim.
